Drone operations during the January 7, 2025, presidential inauguration event are prohibited under an order issued by the Ministry of National Security.

The public, visitors, and dignitaries will all be protected by the rigorous enforcement of the restriction in Black Star Square and the adjacent regions.

The Ministry said in a statement released on Thursday, January 2, that the rule covers both commercial and recreational drones.

According to the statement, this step is a component of increased security measures for the well-known event, which will be attended by prominent national and international individuals.

The Ministry urged drone users to abide by the regulation and not fly drones in prohibited areas on the day of the event, stating that the restriction is necessary to ensure a safe atmosphere during the inauguration.

The Ministry asked all residents to fully cooperate with the measures put in place and reaffirmed the public of its commitment to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere for the inauguration.
