The managers of the Ahafo Region's Kenyasi Prison Camp have made a request to interested parties for necessary medications to enhance the prisoners' medical care.
The problem was revealed during a visit by Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, the MP-Elect for Asutifi North.
One of the issues identified by DSP Francis Kwasi Ansong, an officer in the camp, is the insufficient supply of drugs, which has a detrimental effect on the prisoners' health.
He continued by saying that even the officers who provide treatment for the prisoners are experiencing major health consequences as a result of the shortage of medication.
In order to guarantee that the convicts' medical needs are sufficiently satisfied, he urged district stakeholders to assist the government in supplying the facility with drugs.
In response, Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo promised prompt assistance to improve conditions in the camp and promised to handle the matter as soon as he takes office.
The petition emphasizes how important it is to work together to improve healthcare services in the country's prisons.
