Education Minister: By December 29, WAEC will reveal the 2024 WASSCE results.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will issue the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results on December 29, according to a statement made by Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

The goal of this action is to enable WAEC efficiently manage its financial resources while giving the marking procedure more time to be completed.

The government's continuous efforts to guarantee efficient operations in the education sector include Dr. Adutwum's comments.

The action is anticipated to alleviate some of WAEC's budgetary strains, allowing the council to concentrate on its primary responsibility of grading and compiling results.

This decision comes after WAEC received an additional GH₵25 million from the Ministry of Education, which is meant to support the organization's operating budget and improve the overall effectiveness of its operations.


According to Dr. Adutwum, WAEC has already finished half of the objective marking, and he guaranteed the public that the results will be made available by the end of January as planned.

With a provisional release scheduled for December 28 or 29, 2024, before the final publication, the Education Minister further affirmed that the findings are on schedule to be available by the target date.

On Tuesday, December 24, Dr. Adutwum told reporters that he was certain the procedures in place will assist preserve the integrity of the examination process.

"They are working through the holidays to have the results out by this month's 29th at the latest, so I came to keep myself updated on advancements. "I came to observe the workers at work, and as of right now, nearly half of the goals have been marked," he said.
