Over 30,000 cartons of various drinks, mineral water, and biscuits have been donated to 28 constituencies in the Ashanti Region by Yakubu Adams, also known as Yakubu Tony Aidoo, a former Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asawase Constituency.

This is a significant demonstration of support. During the general elections on December 7, the gesture is intended to support NDC polling station agents. The donation, according to scrap trader and loyal NDC member Tony Aidoo, shows his dedication to the party's victory in the 2024 elections.

He told the media that the program aims to inspire grassroots supporters and polling station agents to maintain their commitment to their work before to, during, and beyond the elections.

He emphasised that the supplies will improve the agents' morale and productivity, pointing out that many of them frequently go hungry while guarding the party's ballots on election day. In addition, Tony Aidoo urged other party members—especially those who had previously been appointed—to support the party's initiatives during this crucial time.



In order to assist the NDC in regaining power in the December elections, he advised them to make use of the networks and resources they acquired while serving in office. Faisal Dauda, the chairman of the Asawase NDC, thanked Tony Aidoo for his kindness on behalf of the recipient constituencies.



He said the gesture was important and timely, especially for building party unity and support. Mr. Dauda also exhorted the NDC leadership to honour and empower young people who show commitment and actively support the party's advancement.

He went on to say that empowering these people would encourage others to follow in their footsteps. Although he has never held a political position, Yakubu Adams has always given the party a significant amount of support. His commitment was praised as a model for others to emulate, emphasising the value of grassroots involvement in accomplishing the party's goals.
