Kurt Okraku's possible plans to run for a third term as GFA President have been strongly opposed by George Afriyie, the former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to local media reports, Mr. Okraku is thinking about seeking a third term, and talks are reportedly in progress to change the GFA constitution to make this possible.

Mr. Afriyie responded to the rumors by stating that he was determined to stop such a move.

"Kurt Okraku should forget about the amendment to go for a third term," he remarked during an appearance on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports Show.

Afriyie disclosed plans to take decisive action, which included making a direct plea to the authorities. He declared, "I will personally write a petition to the Ghanaian government to prevent him from running for a third term."

The seasoned football administrator also made it clear that he plans to mobilize the football community's stakeholders.

Afriyie went on to say, "I will approach every club owner to explain to them why Kurt Okraku can't go for a third term," hinting to a larger effort to oppose the prospective bid.
