Augustus Goosie Tannoh has been named the Presidential Advisor for 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development by President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
This appointment is a part of Mahama's recent announcement of important people chosen for posts in the President's Office.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Mahama's Special Aide, said in a statement that these appointments will begin on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
One of the main policy suggestions Mahama emphasized throughout his campaign for the elections on December 7 was the 24-Hour Economy initiative.
The effort aims to provide the nation a chance to realize its full potential, according to the NDC.
An economy that operates around the clock is one in which companies and services are accessible in the evenings, at night, and in the early morning.
This makes it possible to acquire goods and services more freely and opens up more job options, particularly for people who are available or wish to work outside of regular business hours.
Other appointments include:
1. Julius Debrah – Chief of Staff
2. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Executive Secretary to the President.
3. Prosper Douglas Bani – Head of Interim Security Taskforce
4. Dr. Valerie Sawyerr – Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs.
5. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew – Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana.
6. Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu – Ag. Spokesperson to the President
