The New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not need to spend money traveling over the nation to find out why they lost the general elections in 2024, according to Professor Ransford Gyampo, a lecturer at the University of Ghana.

Prof. Gyampo asserted that he had already identified corruption, poor governance, conceit, and poor economic management as the causes of the NPP's defeat.

He maintained that it is propaganda to attribute the defeat to voter indifference without investigating the underlying causes.

Because they felt disappointed by corruption, haughtiness, poor economic management, and nepotistic leadership, people did not cast ballots. Why are they forming a committee to investigate why you lost if they know that indifference was the cause? Come to us, and we'll explain every element that contributed to the NPP's crushing defeat. On TV3, he declared, "There is no need to go and waste money finding out why you lost. The NPP lost the 2022 elections."

A committee will be established by the NPP in January 2025 to assess the party's performance in the general election of 2024.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, received 6,328,397 votes, or 56.55% of the total valid votes cast, according to the results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) on Monday, December 9.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his primary opponent, received 4,657,304 votes, or 41.61% of the total, however he lost to him.

NPP National Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim admitted during a press conference at the party's headquarters that the outcome did not meet their expectations.
