According to departing President Akufo-Addo, his administration has advanced the country's economy and implemented a number of revolutionary projects. He asserts that future generations will recognize and value his legacy in spite of the criticisms.
On Sunday, December 22, 2024, he spoke at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana's (PCG) bicentennial anniversary kickoff, which took place at the Osu Castle.
He asserted that his government had implemented a number of social reforms in the fields of energy, education, and health.
According to him, these efforts have greatly improved Ghanaians' quality of life. "I'm proud of the accomplishments my government has made with the help of our people and God's direction. ranging from the encouragement of sound governance and economic growth to revolutionary initiatives in the fields of education, health, industry, infrastructure, and agriculture.
"I firmly believe that future generations would evaluate the Akufo-Addo administration's performance favourably. When future generations reflect on our period, they will conclude that we established a solid basis for development and success.
He commended the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its significant contributions to the nation’s development.
"The gospel has an impact on our people's moral fibre in addition to schools and hospitals. As President, I have frequently found courage and insight in God's word.I am incredibly appreciative of the Presbyterian Church's unwavering support during my time in office, as they have prayed for me, encouraged me, and supported my government's agenda of national reform.
"Your faith has encouraged me to persevere even in the most trying times, and your prayers have kept me going."
