Francis Spio Jungo, the CEO of Heritage Promotions, the company that hosts the esteemed Central Music Awards, has retaliated against musicians who disparage the hard work of devoted music business participants. Using examples of performers who sank into obscurity after underestimating the CMA's power, Jungo blasted artists who minimize the impact of the award program in a harsh statement on his official Facebook page. Jungo underlined, "Blessed from above, the Central Music Awards will endure and shape the future of musicians from the Central Region." "Artists come and go, rise and fall, but our plan never wavers."

For 12 years running, the Central Music Awards—Ghana's first and most prestigious regional awards program—have honoured, celebrated, and acknowledged dedicated musicians in the Central Region. Notably, the program's 2023 flight of its "Artiste of the Year" to Dubai made history and demonstrated its dedication to honouring greatness.

Even with these successes, some artists who have profited much from the program nevertheless minimize its importance. Jungo's Complete Statement: It is disheartening to witness certain artists from the Central Region minimize the endeavours of committed stakeholders. Many artists in the area are unable to name any prize plaques other than those from regional programs, among which the Central Music Awards (CMA) were the first in Ghana.

Over the years, I've witnessed artists that disregarded the CMA rapidly disappear while the program continues to flourish. Artists will rise and fall and come and go, but this plan, "blessed from above," will endure and continue to exist despite all of these changes. NB: The CMA is, without exception, the largest artist in the Central Region! May the Central Region be blessed.
