At Kasoa in the Central area, a motorbike was struck by a truck, resulting in the death of a pillion rider.

A young man has been taken into custody for trying to take the victims' motorcycle and other possessions.

A police officer in mufti at the time of the incident reportedly witnessed the young man attempting to take the victims' motorcycle and luggage away, according to a video made available to OnuaOnline.

The officer, who spoke with the suspect for a while before introducing himself as a police officer, claimed to have witnessed the man trying to remove the bag and the bike.

According to him, the suspect informed them that he is the repairman behind Pink FM. The officer in the mufti who had apprehended him handcuffed him and turned him over to a policeman.

The suspect claimed that he had no intention of stealing the bike or the belongings as he was being taken away by the police. Instead, he was assisting in getting the victims to a medical facility because motorcyclists typically help their colleagues when they are engaged in an accident.
