Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko, has praised Kwame Opoku's acquisition, saying he has a "eye for goal." Following a social media statement by the club, Opoku finalised his transfer on Wednesday, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The 25-year-old, who played and scored seven goals during the 2020–21 football season before joining USM Alger halfway through, is making his second stint with Kotoko.

Ogum told the reporters, "I like his level of professionalism, and he is a fine striker and player." Because we are aware of his goal-scoring ability, we are bringing him on board to either score or help other teammates score.

"All we need to do is provide him with emotional and psychological support to help him feel that he is a good player, which is why we brought him on board.

“As a coach, I am happy that he is back to the club.”

Kotoko has scored ten goals in twelve games and will look to add to that total in their crucial matchup with Hearts of Oak on December 15 at Baba Yara Stadium. Whether Opoku will be registered in time for the impending match has not yet been determined.
