Despite receiving hundreds of resumes from potential candidates, President John Dramani Mahama has acknowledged the difficulty of selecting just 60 ministries.
He emphasized the significance of putting together a competent team to keep the promises made to Ghanaians during his remarks at the Presidential Dinner in Accra on Wednesday, January 8. "I've jumped right in," Mahama remarked. "Today, I held multiple meetings with all of our important bilateral and multilateral partners to discuss how we can start improving the lives of our people, as well as to look at issues related to the economy and other things. Therefore, I anticipate that everyone who would have a part to play would be the same.
President John Dramani Mahama emphasized how challenging his job was and how Ghanaians had high hopes for a more efficient government. "You wouldn't want to be in my position when thousands of resumes are being submitted despite your pledge to choose only 60 ministers. Then perhaps some individuals will be let down," he added.
Notwithstanding the difficulties, Mahama informed the populace that cabinet selections are not the only way to contribute to the administration's success. "This administration's success will guarantee us another term, possibly with a different leader. But in order for Ghanaians to continue to trust us, we need to do this right," he stated.
In order to guarantee a more efficient and reliable government, he also emphasized the significance of taking lessons from the previous administration's errors. Ghanaians chastised the NPP for their conceit, incapacity, and simply not paying attention to their demands and difficulties.
I'm a little worried because there's no use in battling for political power if we're just going to make the same mistakes the NPP did.
