Following the announcement of important additions to the President's team, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, has expressed a great sense of pride and humility.
Mahama's longtime supporter Mogtari expressed her belief that the recently nominated officials will live up to the high standards set by Ghanaians.
Mogtari said, "I feel humbled and deeply grateful to God for this day," in an interview with Channel One TV. I think the Lord has created this day. There is a lot of expectation, and I have faith that this club can meet those expectations.
Her comments followed the president-elect's inauguration on January 7, 2025, when he announced his staff.
The newly announced appointments include prominent figures:
* Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu as Acting Spokesperson to the President.
* Dr. Callistus Mahama as Executive Secretary to the President.
* Prosper Douglas Bani as Head of the Interim Security Taskforce.
* Dr. Valerie Sawyerr as Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs.
* Augustus Goosie Tanoh as Presidential Advisor, tasked with advancing the 24-hour economy and export development agenda.
* Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew Appiah-Oppong as Legal Counsel to the President.
Mogtari referred to the appointees' selection as "one of the best decisions ever made" and said they were a team of extraordinary talent and expertise.
She expressed hope that the varied knowledge represented will be crucial in accomplishing the administration's objectives for national development, good governance, and economic prosperity.
"This is among the best choices ever made. Prosper Bani, Dr. Callistus Mahama, and the rest of the team are visible. They will meet the expectations of the public and are highly competent," Mogtari said enthusiastically.
