Seid Mubarak, the elected member of parliament for Sunyani East in the Bono Region, has stated his strong belief that the party will be able to hold the seat for the next 24 years.
He asserts that the plan's ability to fulfill its pledges in the manifesto to promote sustainable development and attend to Ghanaians' needs makes it feasible.
The NDC's track record in infrastructure and its long-term national transformation goal, according to Seid, who won the seat for the first time, would ensure the party's supremacy in the region for many years to come.
Speaking to GHOne News on the fringes of Accra's "57% Health Walk," Seid Mubarak expressed optimism that the electorate would support the NDC if the incoming government can fulfill its promises of a Regional Stadium, a renovated market, and better road infrastructure.
Nonetheless, the MP-elect stated that the primary demand of the Sunyani people was development. "The only thing we need in Sunyani is development, which includes a modernized market, a sports stadium, terrible roads, and youth unemployment." He claimed that the message he gave to the good people of Sunyani struck a chord with them.
"Now the expectations from my people are very high, if the government takes full gear, I'm trying to see that I can give them what I told them," he says, adding that if these demands are fulfilled, the NDC will remain in power for at least 24 years.
Mubarak believes that the next government will be able to achieve its pledges of job creation with the support of the NDC's 24 hour economy policy and the apprenticeship program.
