The shortage of food in senior high schools has drawn the attention of political analyst Dr. Kwame Asah-Asante, who attributes the problem to inadequate government organization and bad planning.

In her interview with Naa Deide Tettey on Morning Starr, Dr. Asante underlined how urgently accountability is needed to address the situation.

He emphasized that there is a serious lack of preparation in the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) communication encouraging pupils to pack their own meals. "That section was poorly organized by the NPP.

We always deal with a number of challenges, such as inadequate food or a shortage of supplies, and other problems that ought to be resolved quickly. They continued to tell the public that everything was fine.

"The government is undoubtedly working on it. I'm positive the government won't take a seat. Due to the fact that kids are heading to school, CHASS has advised that you bring meals. They'll get to work on it. On that, they will need to collaborate with dispatch," he said.

In addition to accusing the administration of misleading the public by saying that everything was fine when it was obviously not, Dr. Asah Asante emphasized the significance of creating an accountable culture that encourages people to speak up against social injustices.

“They kept deceiving the public that all is well. What is so worrying is that those in the sector are free to speak and speak their minds, yet we are here today dealing with this crisis. Let us build that culture and get up and speak about things that are wrong. When we shy away from that responsibility and leave it in the hands of a few people who refuse to speak, the state will collapse. And that is not what we bargained for,” he urged.

He further warned that if leaders are not held accountable, they will continue to take advantage of the public.

"Leaders will always take advantage of us if we lack the guts to hold them responsible. No one is going to sit down this time. "That period is over," he declared.
