On New Year's Day (January 1, 2025), Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), made more than 4,000 people from a variety of backgrounds happy.
In addition to giving them presents and food, Dr. Siaw Agyepong held a day of giving at his home in American House, East Legon, Accra.
The distribution of presents, which included a 5-kilogram bag of rice, cooking oil, soft beverages, Mackerel sardine, and transportation cost, was undoubtedly the high point.
The recipients, which included ladies, men, youth, and senior folks, had crowded Dr. Siaw Agyepong's home as of six in the morning.
Many of them accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior when Pastor Daniel Danso, the JGC Chaplain, led the group in worship and praise of God early on.
Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at Zoomlion Ghana Limited, told the media that Dr. Siaw Agyepong's people-centered approach and dedication to giving back to society were exemplified by this act of philanthropy.
"Dr. Siaw Agyepong and his family have previously made donations of this kind. We have more than 4,000 people here now from all over the world, and it began in the neighborhood a few years ago," Madam Appiaa Osei-Duah stated.
She claims that some of the recipients traveled from Nsawam, Koforidua, and Kasoa. "Dr. Siaw Agyepong and his family are doing this charity because they want to share their joy of the year with the less fortunate," she added.
Madam Appiaa Osei-Duah emphasized that Dr. Siaw Agyepong is an elder in the Church of Pentecost, Metso branch, and a devoted Christian who thinks that people will know Christ via his kindness.
As a prosperous businessman with interests in a number of industries, such as banking, ICT, and waste management, Dr. Siaw Agyepong's generosity is encouraging others to pursue similar careers.
