Officially, the ten police officers who sued the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to prevent their transfers have dropped their case.
The cops informed the court of their decision, although they were free to reapply if needed in the future.
Their legal battle against the Police Administration's direction has been temporarily halted by this event.
The officers, under the leadership of Sergeant David Ojeyim, first requested a court order to stop being transferred from their current positions.
They said that there was no rationale behind the transfer command and that it was arbitrary.
The officers argued that the ruling violated the police service's established administrative procedures and jeopardized their professional stability.
Notable members of the group include Corporal John Yao Adzimagbor, Corporal Michael Kwasi Avuyi, Corporal Huudu Muhammed Wumbe, Corporal Kabiru Mohammed, Corporal Hannah Antwi-Boasiako, IC/Inspector Alexander Odoi, Sergeant Prince Owusu Fayosey, Sergeant Seidu Essilfie, Sergeant Alex Abah, and Corporal John Yao Adzimagbor.
Together, they demanded accountability from the Police administration and voiced concerns over the fairness and transparency of the transfer procedure.
Even though the case has been dropped, the officers' intention to reapply shows that they are still interested in pursuing justice.
