GH₵68,134,674,527 has been approved by Parliament as an expenditure in advance of appropriation for the first quarter of 2025.

The clearance comes after the Finance Minister presented the mini-budget, which included GH¢20.69 billion for interest payments and a projected GH¢16.4 billion for salaries.

The mini-budget was examined by the Finance and Budget joint committee before being presented to the plenary for approval.

The conversation was chaired by Thomas Ampem Nyarko, MP for Asuogyaman and chairman of the budget committee, with assistance from Patrick Yaw Boamah, MP for Okaikoi Central and chairman of the finance committee.

The House accepted the report when Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, submitted the adoption question.

Until the incoming administration presents the entire 2025 budget, this budget will support government operations, including public sector salaries, interest commitments, and important national projects.
