In observance of Constitution Day, the Ministry of Interior has announced that Tuesday, January 7, 2025, has been designated as a statutory public holiday.
The public was reminded in a statement issued by Henry Quartey, the Interior Minister, that the day must be honored countrywide in compliance with Ghana's statutory holiday schedule.
Every year, Constitution Day is observed to commemorate the ratification of Ghana's 1992 Constitution, which brought democracy back to the nation.
The occasion serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to preserve democratic values and the rule of law.
People are urged to consider the day's significance and how it has influenced the democratic development of the country.
