Kobina Tahir Hammond, the Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, has urged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, in the general elections of 2024, praising his leadership abilities.
Dr. Bawumia was described by KT Hammond as "God's gift to Ghana," underscoring the need of choosing a leader who possesses both vision and honesty. These statements were given on Friday, November 15, during Dr. Bawumia's campaign trip of the Ashanti Region.
Hammond compared the leadership of Dr. Bawumia to that of John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying that Mahama had been defeated in past elections and is not deserving of another opportunity to govern. [Mahama] After been repeatedly turned down by the electorate, there is a person in this nation who wishes to run for president once more.
Regarding his term, he was unable to respond to a number of accusations, including that he failed to return the guinea fowl that had flown to Burkina Faso. Even the 24-hour economic idea is beyond the comprehension of NDC communicators.
"Remember the treatment of Jesus Christ; let's exercise caution. Alhaji Dr. Bawumia is a gift from God. Let's make sure we support him for president so he may use his expertise to improve Ghana's situation. He will see to it that Asokwa develops. In the Adansi area, which has six constituencies—Akrofuom, Obuasi East and West, Fomena, Adansi Asokwa, and New Edubiase—Dr. Bawumia continued his Ashanti Region tour on Friday. Dr. Bawumia had already travelled to Akrofuom, Obuasi East, and Obuasi West.
Adansi Asokwa, Fomena, and New Edubiase were on his Friday itinerary. Interestingly, out of the six constituencies, New Edubiase is the only one that continuously backs the NDC.
