To improve its operations, the Wassa Abenabena Health Center in the Western Region's Wassa Amenfi East Municipality has issued an urgent call for more employees, hospital beds, and a working laboratory.
Vivian Kafui Lesiaku, the facility's Deputy Chief Physician Assistant in charge, emphasized the difficulties they encounter in an interview with Adom News correspondent Isaac K. Normanyo.
She pointed out that the community-built health center is devoid of basic amenities, such as enough beds and a lab, which makes it difficult to properly diagnose illnesses.
In order to satisfy the demands of the expanding population the institution serves, Ms. Lesiaku again underlined the necessity for additional healthcare personnel.
In order to guarantee improved healthcare service, she urged stakeholders to address these urgent needs.
Anthony Kosi Alorwordor, a former Assembly Member for the Wassa Powuako Electoral Area, joined the appeal, emphasizing the need for more personnel and supplies.
Additionally, he pointed out that the health center's location in a galamsey-prone area raises the possibility of emergencies.
As a result, he requested an ambulance in order to properly handle serious medical situations.
In order for the health center to give its patients proper care, the community is hoping that their request would be granted.
