To help children in different orphanage homes across the nation, the government has been requested to create policies and an educational fund.
Mr. Aikins Mensah, better known as "Yes my Lord," the CEO of the Yes My Lord Company, claims that he counseled the government to create legislation that address the needs of impoverished street children who are placed in orphanage homes.
In order to help orphanage homes care for children without parents, he asked recently elected President John Dramani Mahama to take this into account and set aside a portion of the nation's welfare budget for them.
Mr. Mensah said these things as he donated GH¢50,000.00 worth of supplies, like as food, clothing, water, oil, and other necessities, to the Village of Hope Orphanage School in Gomoa Fetteh in order to cheer up the kids around Christmas.
During the Christmas season, he urged Ghanaians to keep in mind people living on the streets and in orphanages.
"We don't need to implore the government to put policies into place that will help the underprivileged. Social welfare issues must be given top priority by the government. Social welfare was given first priority in any reformed nation. However, Ghana's social welfare budget is dreadfully underfunded. Funds for social assistance must be released by our government. In particular, I implore the next administration to give social welfare issues more attention. We ought to allocate a certain amount of money to support homes that assist underprivileged kids.
The Village of Hope Orphanage School's Senior House Parent, Rexford Essuman, praised Mr. Mensah for making the kids happy.
He also urged people and the government to help the orphanage so that they could help the kids even more.
