Zoomlion Ghana Limited is working diligently to keep Accra's ceremonial spaces pristine and exquisitely decorated as Ghana gets ready to swear in John Dramani Mahama as its new president on January 7, 2025.
The garbage management company's social responsibility programs include this endeavor.
Accordingly, Zoomlion has assigned more than 500 workers and cutting-edge waste management tools to handle the extensive cleaning and beautifying project.
They do things like paint sidewalks and pedestrian walkways, decorate traffic signals and trees with national colors, and clean the famous Black Star Square and ceremonial streets.
To provide a spotless setting for the inauguration ceremony, they are also cleaning drains, sweeping streets, and weeding road medians.
In order to provide a hygienic, wholesome, and aesthetically pleasing setting for President Mahama's second swearing-in event, Zoomlion staff have already started working diligently.
Adding a sense of patriotism to the preparations and boosting Accra's celebratory ambiance, trees in the medians of ceremonial roadways have been decked in national colors.
This project demonstrates Zoomlion's dedication to sustainability and environmental protection. Being one of Ghana's top waste management companies, they have continuously shown their commitment to fostering a better and cleaner environment.
They are a shining example of corporate social responsibility in Ghana since their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
In the 2024 presidential election, John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) nominee, won handily with 56.55% of the voters. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his primary opponent, admitted defeat even before the Electoral Commission formally announced the results.
With his victory, Mahama has returned to the presidency, which he had from 2012 to 2016. He promised "severe measures and governance reforms" to "reset our nation" and emphasized the need of good governance in his victory address.
In the parliamentary elections, the NDC also won a majority and a large number of seats nationwide. With the NDC expected to dominate the upcoming Parliament, this result is viewed as a dramatic change in Ghana's political environment.
The inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama is quickly approaching, and Zoomlion's efforts will help create a memorable and respectable celebration that highlights their diligence and dedication to excellence.
