Rumors that the New Force Movement's leader, Nana Kwame Bediako, also called Cheddar, did not support his party in the 2024 presidential election have been denied.

Cheddar addressed concerns about purported irregularities in the voting process and demanded immediate reforms to protect the country's democracy during his first media meeting following the end of the general elections, which were place in Accra on Monday.

"As a country, don't we have enough of lying and harming our own? That's what I'm trying to say. To dispel rumors that he was party faithful, he emphasized, "Yes, my wife voted for me, and I voted for myself."

Cheddar called for a more robust electoral structure, expressing disappointment about problems with the recall and re-declaration of results in certain constituencies. "We do not have the best system to support what we consider democracy," he stated.

Additionally, he acknowledged that he was not aware of several polling station agents assigned to his party during the elections, indicating flaws in the process's organisational framework.

He underlined that it is more about us as a nation—standing up and ensuring that we are safeguarded by the framework that we have established with laws and governance to defend the country.

In an effort to build credibility and trust for upcoming elections, Cheddar's comments underscore the growing demand for accountability and transparency in Ghana's electoral system.
