Chiana-Pio, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III Elected Council of State Representative for Upper East Region

In a significant electoral victory, His Majesty Chianabu-Pio, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III, the Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area, has been elected as the Council of State representative for the Upper East Region.

The election, held at the Regional House of Chiefs in Bolgatanga, saw His Majesty emerge as the preferred candidate who pulled 18 valid votes.

He contested among several contestants, including Elias Ayinbila Apasiva, Thomas More, Peter Babaaluze-Ele, and others.

Thomas More had 5 votes, Peter BABA Aluze-Ele had 3 votes. Justice Azuko garnered 2 votes and Bismark Ayorogo and Balinia Adda Dennis all have 1 vote each.

The election process recorded a total of 30 as the totol valid votes.

His Majesty's election underscores his esteemed leadership and the trust placed in him by the region's traditional leaders.

As the new Council of State representative, he is expected to play a pivotal role in advising the government on critical regional and national issues, furthering the development and unity of the Upper East Region.
