The former Upper East Regional Minister, Ambassador to Italy and a one time Npp parliamentary candidate, Hon Tangoba Abayage relays the how Navrongo Central Constituents “fan fooled” her to believe she had their support.
According to her, she had spent millions of Cedis to purchase and distributed over 2,000 T-Shirts, thousands of branded Tangoba caps, aprons and bags but she did not get their votes.
Shocking to her is her uncle who she alleges used blade to erase her name from the cap after she lost the 2020 December elections.
“In 2020 I procured and distributed over 20,000 T shirts, thousands of Tangoba Caps, aprons and bags
Charlie, I do some oooo.
When I lost the election I rarely saw anyone wear any of all those. Kwɛɛɛɛ! Even my own uncle used a blade to scratch off the Tangoba on the cap and was wearing it. He was ashamed of his own niece. Lose an election and see! 🤣
During campaigning this year, my PC observed that a lot of T shirts had gone out. I told him they take from both sides waiting to see who wins: once the winner is declared, everyone is on the winning side.
As I drove through Navrongo and Bolgatanga today all I see are NDC flags. The reverse would have been the same if NPP had won.
Lesson: never be excited by the sheer numbers of paraphernalia you share; they take them with both hands.” She wrote.
