Two MMDCE aspirants from the Builsa North Constituency, Ignatius Akaboka and Imoro Abudu have submitted a petition to the National vetting of MMDCEs Committee of NDC, the NDC Regional Chairman and the Regional vetting committee on issues regarding the vetting process which they alleged a suspicion of bias and corruption to deny them of their rights from the final vetting results.

The two aspirants in the petition below, accuse the Upper East Regional Minister who doubles as the NDC Regional secretary for bias and are calling on him to rescue himself from all processes of the investigation due to some dissatisfaction by some of the aspirants.

The aspirants are therefore demanding the release of the true copy of the vetting results with immediate effect and other reliefs.

The Upper East Regional Minister and the Regional Chairman are yet to respond to the petition and further directives

Below is the petition by the two aspirants from the Builsa North Constituency.

PETITION AGAINST UNJUST DELAY IN RELEASE OF VETTING RESULTS
GIVING ROOM FOR MANIPULATIONS
We the undersigned candidates for the position of the Municipal Chief Executive in the BUILSA
North Constituency are writing formally to express our dissatisfaction regarding the delay in the
release of the results of the vetting process that took place on the 23
rd January, 2025 at the
regional residence.
This situation has led to rife speculations on the fact that some qualified candidates have been
removed and replaced with unqualified candidates.
The delay in the release of the results has resulted in heightened tensions among the youth of the
constituency.
We are therefore calling for the following
1. We demand the release of the true certified copy of the vetting results with immediate
effect from the chairman of the vetting committee.
2. We demand the suspension of the second phase of the vetting of the three candidates
by the National Committee until proper investigation is carried out to ascertain the true
reflection of the results.
3. We demand that the regional secretary and now regional minister should recues
himself from all processes of the investigation due to his perceived biases with some of
the candidates. This will ensure fairness and respect for the rule of natural justice.
Signed
1. Ignatius Akaboka
2. Imoro Abudu
