The provisional results from Ghana's 2024 general elections are trickling in, and it's shaping up to be a nail-biter. The two major parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), are neck and neck in both the presidential and parliamentary elections .
According to the early numbers, John Mahama of the NDC is leading with 56.39% of the votes, based on preliminary polling station results . However, it's essential to note that these results are not yet final, and ballot sorting and counting are still ongoing in some areas.
The elections saw a significant turnout, with over 18 million voters participating across 40,648 polling stations nationwide. A total of 12 candidates ran for the presidency, while 801 individuals competed for parliamentary seats
As the results continue to come in, some constituencies are drawing national attention due to their potential impact on the final outcome. The Ahmadiyya Day Nursery polling station in the Upper West-Wa Central Constituency is one such example

PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS
Source
[12/8, 3:04 AM] Business assistant: The provisional results from Ghana's 2024 general elections are trickling in, and it's shaping up to be a nail-biter. The two major parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), are neck and neck in both the presidential and parliamentary elections ¹.
According to the early numbers, John Mahama of the NDC is leading with 56.39% of the votes, based on preliminary polling station results ¹. However, it's essential to note that these results are not yet final, and ballot sorting and counting are still ongoing in some areas.
The elections saw a significant turnout, with over 18 million voters participating across 40,648 polling stations nationwide. A total of 12 candidates ran for the presidency, while 801 individuals competed for parliamentary seats ².
As the results continue to come in, some constituencies are drawing national attention due to their potential impact on the final outcome. The Ahmadiyya Day Nursery polling station in the Upper West-Wa Central Constituency is one such example ¹.
