Miracles Denis Aboagye, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has come to the defense of outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, dismissing claims that he's arrogant. According to Aboagye, the president's demeanor may come across as arrogant to those who don't know him, but in reality, he's a modest individual who is simply a direct and firm communicator.

Aboagye, who has worked closely with the president as a presidential staffer, revealed that Akufo-Addo's candidness in expressing disagreements can sometimes lead to misinterpretation. He emphasized that the president is not afraid to speak his mind and express his disagreements directly, which may contribute to the misunderstanding.

Aboagye also discussed the NPP's defeat in the 2024 elections, refuting the idea that the president's alleged arrogance played a role. Instead, he called for the party to reassess their approach and connect more effectively with voters in the lead-up to the 2028 elections. By learning from their current experience, the NPP can rebuild and come back stronger.
