Ellen Ama Daaku, a member of the New Enthusiastic Party (NPP) correspondences group, has hailed President Nana Akufo-Addo's Free Senior Secondary School (Free SHS) initiative as one of his most impressive achievements. In an interview with TV3 on January 2, 2025, Daaku stated that the arrangement has brought hope to many Ghanaians, particularly students and their families, by providing them with better access to training. She accepts that President Akufo-Addo will be remembered for his significant contributions to education.

Daaku also acknowledged the role played by the President's representatives in the advancement of the Free SHS initiative. She specifically acknowledged Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the previous Instruction Priest, for his tireless efforts to advocate for the strategy's basis. Dr. Yaw Adutwum, current Training Clergyman, was also recognized for his dedication to developing STEM (Science, Innovation, Designing, and Math) education in Ghana, which Daaku described as critical to the country's future development.

Daaku emphasized the need of focusing on STEM education, which can help students develop critical thinking skills. She expressed her belief that STEM will play an important role in shaping the future and encouraged the next administration to continue focusing on advancements in this discipline.

Despite the instructive changes, Daaku praised Akufo-Addo for his efforts to accelerate Ghana's economic digitization. Despite the financial challenges posed by the Coronavirus pandemic, she highlighted the remarkable progress the country has made, with a predicted 7% growth rate, emphasizing the strength and progress made since the pandemic's peak.
