Atiwa East MP, Abena Osei Asare, honors 41 exceptional teachers with awards.

Abena Osei Asare, the Member of Parliament for Atiwa East, has organized a special event to honor the dedication and hard work of teachers in her constituency. The maiden MP's Teacher's Award and 3rd Retirees' Send-off ceremony recognized 41 outstanding teachers with amazing prizes, including NASCO chest freezers, air conditioners, motorcycles, and cash prizes of GHS 5,000 each.

The event, which was attended by traditional leaders, officials from the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), and the Ghana Education Service (GES), highlighted the crucial role teachers play in shaping the future of Ghana's children. Abena Osei Asare, who is also the Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, emphasized the government's commitment to improving teachers' conditions.

The District Director of Education for Atiwa East, Pearl Leonel Acquah, praised the MP for this initiative, stressing the importance of appreciating teachers for their service. The awardees, who came from various schools and directorate categories, were thrilled to receive their prizes and promised to continue working hard. The event was also attended by the General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua, and traditional leaders from the area.
