Banker and Dubai Girlfriend Found Dead In Guestroom Days After Going Missing In Ashanti Region


A banker and his Dubai-based girlfriend were found dead in a guestroom in the Ashanti Region, just days after they went missing. The police at Abuakwa have launched an investigation into the bizarre circumstances surrounding their deaths .

The couple, identified as Emmanuel Appiah, 34, and Sophia Mensah, 29, had checked into the guesthouse three days prior to their bodies being discovered. Staff at the guesthouse became concerned after repeated knocks on their door went unanswered, leading them to break into the room and make the grim discovery.

While the cause of death is still unknown, preliminary investigations suggest no visible signs of struggle. Authorities are considering poisoning or carbon monoxide inhalation as possible causes. The police are urging the public to avoid speculation while they continue their investigation.

Interestingly, another report suggests that a 25-year-old banker had planned a trip to Dubai with his girlfriend after stealing GH¢1.2 million from customers' accounts . However, it's unclear if this is the same couple found dead in the guestroom.
