Dr. Stephen Amoah, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, had a harrowing experience with a constituent who allegedly threatened him with a gun. Fortunately, Amoah was able to defend himself by drawing his own pistol ¹ ² ³.
According to Amoah, it was a good thing his bodyguard wasn't present during the altercation, although the exact reasons for this statement aren't entirely clear. What is clear, however, is that Amoah took steps to protect himself in a potentially life-threatening situation.
It's worth noting that the incident occurred in Atasemanso zongo in the Ashanti Region, where Amoah was reportedly meeting with constituents. The exact circumstances leading up to the altercation are still unclear, but it's evident that Amoah's decision to defend himself was a crucial one .
