Afia Schwarzenegger, a controversial television personality, has attacked the first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, for exploding and insulting the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, following the State of the Nation speech.

The first lady became enraged as Deputy Minority Leader Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah ripped President Akufo-Addo apart in his response to the SOTU.

The Ellembelle MP claimed that Akufo-Addo had failed the entire country, including God, whom he also managed to deceive. He compared Akufo-Addo to Pharoah, and the NPP's defeat to the Israelites finally gaining their independence from Egypt.

The speech did not sit well with the first lady, who scolded the speaker for allowing one of the MPs to address the President in such a manner.

Afia Schwar responded to Rebecca Akufo-Addo's outburst by saying she had no leg to stand on because her husband did worse to others and she said nothing.
