Don't Trade Your Vote For Gari' Gospel Star Sonnie Badu Warns -
Ghanaian gospel star Sonnie Badu is sounding the alarm, warning citizens not to trade their votes for temporary gains like food items, specifically mentioning "gari" (a popular Ghanaian dish). He's urging Ghanaians to prioritize accountability and the nation's welfare when casting their ballots in the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections .
Badu's passionate plea comes as he reflects on Ghana's current economic challenges, which he attributes to a failed administration. He's encouraging voters to consider the rising cost of living when making their decisions. "Don't let anyone deceive you with gari, rice, or yam, and throw away your precious vote," he cautions .
The gospel singer is also emphasizing the importance of voting out leaders who have failed to deliver on their promises and contributed to the country's hardships. "If you're happy, vote. If you're not, vote. Look at your circumstances and decide. Vote out those who did not help this country when they had the chance," he adds .
