It seems the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is getting a bit nervous about their chances in the upcoming elections, especially in the Ashanti Region. According to Dr. Kwasi Amakye Boateng, a political analyst and lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the NPP's perceived neglect of the Ashanti Region might just cost them some votes.

Despite being a traditional stronghold for the NPP, the party's achievements in Kumasi, the regional capital, have been minimal. Dr. Boateng pointed out that Kumasi doesn't even have a single interchange, whereas Accra has three. He also noted that former President John Mahama made significant contributions to the region, including the construction of the Kumasi Kejetia Market.

The NPP's recent rush to start road projects in the region seems like a last-minute attempt to address these shortcomings. As Dr. Boateng put it, "Now the NPP is panicking because the NDC might acquire more votes."

It's worth noting that the NPP has been working on some projects in the Ashanti Region, such as the Manso Adubia SHS classroom block . However, it seems that more needs to be done to address the concerns of voters in the region.
