John Dumelo, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuguon, has filed a formal criminal complaint against Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan for election malpractice . Dumelo's team submitted the complaint to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), including video recordings that allegedly show Alhassan breaching Ghana's criminal and electoral laws.

The complaint also includes information about Alhassan's plans to unlawfully influence voters on a larger scale during the upcoming election on December 7, 2024 . Dumelo expects the OSP to take immediate action to prevent Alhassan from repeating the alleged unlawful behavior and to bring her and her accomplices to justice.
