Ghana's Education Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, has assured that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) results will be released by December 29, despite the country's significant debt to WAEC. Ghana owes WAEC over GHc118 million, which has affected the timely completion of post-examination processes .

The delay in releasing funds from the Ministry of Education has stalled the scanning of objective test cards, which is a crucial step in the post-examination process. However, the Minister is confident that the outstanding amount won't hinder the timely release of the results.

WAEC has cautioned students, parents, and other stakeholders to disregard unofficial dates circulating on social media, emphasizing that the results will only be released once all post-examination challenges are resolved .

It's worth noting that the Education Minister has assured that efforts are being made to invest in alternative funding options to resolve the outstanding debt. This move aims to prevent future delays and ensure the smooth operation of WAEC's processes.
