Fire has overtaken parts of Kumasi's Kwadaso Wood Market, damaging at least ten sheds.
The fire began about 5:00 p.m. and swiftly spread throughout the market, causing substantial damage to the impacted structures.
"The fire started from one of the sheds and spread to the rest," Adam, an impacted shed owner, told TV3's Evans-Nkum.
Firefighters are actively fighting the fire, with two tenders and about ten firefighters on the scene. Local locals are also helping with the firefighting efforts, as affected traders try to rescue everything they can from the rubble.
This event follows the devastation caused by the recent fire in Accra's Kantamanto Market.
