Former Accra Mayor, Oko Vanderpuije, faced criticism for his actions, including demolitions and arrests

information about Oko Vanderpuije, the former Mayor of Accra. It seems he's been in the news for various reasons.

One notable incident was when he warned residents of Kantamanto not to raise illegal structures at the area gutted by fire . He also made headlines for ordering the arrest of a young plantain seller at Agbogbloshie market .

Additionally, there were reports of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) destroying unauthorized structures and clearing businessmen who trade in cattle and goats at the Agbogbloshie market during his tenure .

It's also worth noting that there were allegations of "missing" containers during his time as Mayor, which led to a lawsuit against the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and six other defendants .
