Gas station owner shot dead by robbers at Gomoa Akotsi

A gas station owner, Martin Okyere, was tragically shot dead by two armed robbers at Gomoa Akotsi in the Central Region. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2024. According to eyewitnesses, the robbers stormed the gas station in the early hours of the morning.

The robbers ransacked the room, shooting and killing the 50-year-old gas station owner. An eyewitness, Richmond Agyei, reported that he heard multiple gunshots and rushed to the scene, only to find the robbers fleeing. Mr. Agyei and the deceased's daughter attempted to rescue Mr. Okyere, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his gunshot wounds and passed away.

The family of the deceased, particularly his sister, Lucas Esi, has called on the Ghana Police to ensure that the perpetrators face justice. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and the police are expected to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
