President John Dramani Mahama has appointed six renowned women to crucial posts in the Office of the Vice President. These selections demonstrate a commitment to harnessing diverse skills in the public sector.
1. Alberta Graham: Alberta Graham will serve as the Head of Administration. With 25 years of experience in university administration, she has held roles such as Deputy Registrar and Director at the Directorate of Consular and General Services at the University of Cape Coast. Her academic credentials include a BA (Hons) in English, a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Ghana.
2. Professor Theresah Ennin is an associate professor at the University of Cape Coast who has been appointed as a Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the Vice President. She received her PhD in African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison while a Fulbright Scholar.
3. Daniella Mavis Mathias: Daniella Mathias will serve as Secretary to the Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. She has been a key member of the National Democratic Congress' Communications Team, contributing greatly to the party's recent achievements.
4. Mansa Amoa-Awuah: Mansa Amoa-Awuah, the founder of Saki Publicity, a full-service advertising agency, has over 20 years of experience in marketing communications. Her career began as a barrister in the United Kingdom, before shifting to marketing in the 1990s. In her new post as a financial policy adviser, she hopes to implement innovative ideas to strengthen the country's financial sector and attract investors.
5. Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu: Dr. Iddrisu is a Social Development and Gender Specialist with a PhD in Public Health and an M.Phil in Sociology of Health from the University of Ghana-Legon, as well as a BA in Integrated Development Studies from the University of Development Studies. With 16 years of project management experience, she specializes in research, policy advocacy, child and human rights, gender rights, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and development.
6. Maame Ama Pratt: Ama Pratt, the General Manager of Pan African TV, has held positions at Zenith Bank Group, Ghana Commercial Bank, The Freedom Centre, and The Insight Newspaper. She possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Buckingham and studied English and Sociology at the University of Ghana.
