Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, has fired a warning shot at Bryan Acheampong, his colleague MP and Minister for Food and Agriculture. Acheampong had boasted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has measures in place to win the December 7 elections, and even threatened to deal with anyone who tries to mess with their chances ¹.

Agbodza wasn't having it, and responded by saying that Acheampong's talk is cheap and that serving in the military kitchen doesn't make him a brave person. He also referenced Acheampong's past controversies, including the Ayawaso West Wuogon incident ¹.

The Minority Chief Whip declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is prepared to stand up to Acheampong and the NPP, and warned that any attempts to rig the election or use force would be met with resistance ². He urged NDC members to remain vigilant as the election approaches.

It's clear that tensions are running high ahead of the December 7 elections, and this exchange between Agbodza and Acheampong is just the latest example.
