A Playboy model who dated footballer Raheem Sterling has tragically passed away due to complications from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. Tabby Brown, 38, traveled to the Dominican Republic for the secret surgery, without informing her family.
Brown's family thought she was traveling around South America, unaware of her plans for surgery. However, three days after returning to the UK, she developed a "fat embolism," a rare but known complication of BBL surgery.
The coroner's court heard that Brown had two puncture wounds in her pelvis and numerous small globules of fat in her lungs. It was this fat embolism that led to her death. Brown's family described her as a fit and healthy person who enjoyed weight training and baking.
Brown's brother and sister released a joint statement paying tribute to their sister. They said that Brown was a successful model who had featured in music videos and ad campaigns for well-known brands. They described her as having a big laugh and smile, and a personality that charmed many.
The coroner, Julian Morris, recorded a narrative verdict, stating that Brown's cause of death was a fat embolism caused by liposuction. He noted that fat embolisms are a rare but known complication of this type of surgery.
Brown's family was unaware of her plans for surgery, and she had not informed them of any health issues. Her mother, Mahasin, thought Brown had picked up a viral infection while traveling and was caring for her at home.
The investigation into Brown's death highlighted the risks associated with BBL surgery, particularly when performed abroad. The coroner's verdict served as a reminder of the importance of seeking medical attention immediately if complications arise after surgery.
The tragic death of Tabby Brown serves as a warning to those considering cosmetic surgery abroad. It is essential to carefully research and choose a reputable clinic and surgeon to minimize the risks associated with these procedures.
