It seems the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been inadvertently drawing attention to its opponent, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
One amusing incident involved Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the NPP's running mate. While campaigning, NAPO mistakenly urged supporters to vote for "John Mahama and Mr Robert." This slip of the tongue sparked widespread laughter and chatter, with many interpreting it as a sign that the NPP might be unconsciously acknowledging Mahama as a formidable candidate.
Critics and commentators humorously suggested that the NPP might be "obsessed" with Mahama, with some joking that NAPO's blunder revealed a deeper truth: that Mahama is perceived as the better choice for Ghana, prompting such frequent "accidental" endorsements.
