Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1, has spoken out on the corruption charges against former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. In a mysterious social media statement, the billionaire and former Menzgold CEO likened Ofori-Atta's condition to his own legal issues.

The Special Prosecutor has proclaimed Ken Ofori-Atta sought, requiring his assistance in an ongoing investigation. Contrary to reports that Ofori-Atta had left the country for medical treatment, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng warned that if the former minister did not cooperate, legal action would be used to guarantee his return.

Reacting to this, NAM1 recounted how he was previously proclaimed sought despite telling authorities about his presence. He explained that he had informed the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) of his travel plans and had even visited with then-President Nana Akufo-Addo before departing Ghana. He was later accused of fleeing the country.

"I left town to collect Menzgold gold-supplied payments to repay the Company's debt after informing EOCO and meeting with the President later that night. The next morning, you declared me sought, stating I had absconded. Today, you're on a wanted list. Life!" NAM1 wrote.

His remark elicited emotions from Ghanaians, with many drawing comparisons between his predicament and Ofori-Atta's current situation. Some social media users believe NAM1's statement is a covert way of criticizing the impartiality of Ghana's court system, while others view it as a reminder of his own legal troubles.

The issue surrounding Ken Ofori-Atta's corruption case continues to gain traction, and with NAM1 now involved, the discussion has only heated up. Many people are waiting to see how the former Finance Minister responds to the claims and whether he will participate with the Special Prosecutor's inquiry.

As talks heat up, NAM1's words have added another layer to the ongoing debate in Ghana regarding corruption, accountability, and the treatment of those under judicial examination.
