Three people, thought to be from Nakpanduri and Bimbagu, suburbs in the Bunkprugu Nakpanduri District of the North East Region, were killed in a vehicle accident.

The three were driving home from a birthday party in a Corolla X with an unidentified registration number from Nakpanduri.

The driver is claimed to have lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed with a tipper truck parked along the roadside.

Unfortunately, none of the occupants survived the collision, and their bodies were burned beyond recognition on the scene.

The Ghana National Fire Service from Bunkprugu came at the location to rescue the victims, but they had already died from their injuries.

The victims were two female senior high school students and a man in his 18s and 20s.

Police have transported samples from the charred bodies to the Bunkprugu Government Hospital for further investigation.
