Parliament has indeed approved the Suame Interchange project

According to reports, Parliament actually approved a €156.4 million facility to finance the design and construction of phase 1 of the Suame Interchange and ancillary road projects in July 2022 . Additionally, President Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the construction of the Suame Interchange in November 2022 .

It's worth noting that Dr. Ato Forson, the Minority Leader in Parliament, has been critical of the NPP government's performance . However, in this specific case, it appears that Parliament did approve the funding for the Suame Interchange project.


Parliament has indeed approved the Suame Interchange project. In July 2022, they approved a loan agreement of €156.4 million to finance the design and construction of Phase One of the Suame Interchange and ancillary works project in Kumasi . The project aims to convert the Suame Roundabout into a four-tier interchange to ensure the free flow of traffic within the area and reduce traveling time. The loan agreement was between the Government of Ghana and the Deutche Bank S.A.E .
