The alleged hoarding of government-supplied fertilizers by the outgoing administration has sparked controversy in Ghana. According to reports, the NDC's Joseph Yammin-led Operation Recover All looted assets intercepted a large quantity of fertilizers at the house of Adansi North District Chief Executive, Eric Kwaku Kusi, in Fomena, Ashanti Region.

Kusi confirmed that the fertilizers were brought to his house by the Member of Parliament for Fomena Constituency, Andrew Asiamah, for safekeeping. Asiamah claimed the fertilizers were meant for his campaign activities but arrived late. However, Osman Nabali, the NDC Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer, described the hoarding as "unfortunate" and alleged that it was part of a broader scheme to sabotage the incoming government.

Nabali expressed disappointment that the fertilizers, purchased to support farmers and reduce food production costs, were instead being hoarded to be sold at exorbitant prices later. He criticized the move, stating that it undermines efforts to support farmers and provide affordable food for Ghanaians.

The NDC youth leader appealed to authorities to take swift action, urging the incoming administration to ensure accountability and protect government resources. He emphasized the need to investigate similar practices across the country, highlighting that the issue is not just an NDC concern but about protecting Ghana's interests.
