Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency in Equatorial Guinea, was indeed arrested on November 5, 2024. This came after raids on his home and office uncovered over 400 explicit videos involving him and several high-profile women, including the wives of prominent government officials and even a sister of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo . The scandal has sparked widespread outrage and raised concerns about the integrity of Equatorial Guinea's government. Engonga's arrest was ordered by President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo himself, citing "irregularities committed in the exercise of his functions, as well as inappropriate family and social conduct" .
